Spring Break Holidays and Events
By: Max Masleyev
Whether you celebrate with an Easter egg hunt, a feast, or being with your family, everyone is ready this year for the special holiday. It is a great holiday to start off spring break for all students in Massachusetts. It should be really warm, with high temperatures reaching 82° F. This means even if you don't celebrate Easter, you can still enjoy the warm weather.
This year, Easter will be followed by Patriots day. Did you know Patriots day is celebrated only in Massachusetts, Maine (which was part of Massachusetts until 1820), and Wisconsin? It is a holiday to remember the battles in Lexington and Concord during the revolutionary war. The annual Boston Marathon is always run on this special day since it was established in 1897. It is broadcasted on live TV on WBZ-TV(CBS) or NBC Sports Network.
If you have nothing to do during spring break, you can go to the Solomon Pond Mall's Tilt Studios for arcade fun or the Marlborough Public Library, along with many other places. Temperatures for the rest of the week will be cooler, so you might want enjoying your break indoors. Of course, you could also go on vacation to Florida!
